Want to Be Successful? What You Should Know About Article Marketing

article marketingArticle marketing is simply writing informative or entertaining articles in your niche and publishing them on major article sites. In exchange article sites allow anyone to publish your article as long as the author bio box and the article site’s URL are left in tact. This means the site you publish articles on will get a back link and you will get an author bio box in which to tell readers about yourself and your blog and or website. Sounds easy enough, right? There are however some major factors that some forget when using article marketing as a way of getting targeted traffic.

  1. Any article that contains your bio box on it is like a first impression of your website.

Would you go to a job interview without showering and dressing nicely? No, you would not. If you did you certainly would not get the job. The same concept applies when writing articles. If a reader can not even finish reading your article they are not going to visit your website.

If your article however is informative, humorous, fascinating, or entertaining there is an extremely good chance that a reader will have the desire to visit your website and see what else you have. Besides, popular article directories will not publish articles that are not good anyway. You are wasting everyone’s time submitting poorly written articles to any website or blog. You are also making yourself, your business, and your website look bad in the process.

If you can not write something good, pay someone else to do it for you. Not everyone can write. There are freelance and ghost writers all over the Internet who would be happy to write articles for your article marketing needs.

  1. The title is what will get a readers attention.

Ah, the title. How important is the title of an article? Isn’t it the article itself that is important? Yes, the article itself is unbelievably important. It without a doubt has to be well written, easy to read, and have some kind of informational or entertainment value. But how does one decide to read an article? You read the title and if it sounds interesting you continue; if not you move on to the next article. After all, the Internet is filled with millions of articles on any subject in any niche and in any language. People need a reason to want to read your article.

  1. The Author Bio Box is your last chance to entice the reader to your website.

The author resource or bio box is your chance to get people to click your link. One chance, don’t let it go. If your article is engaging readers will want to read your bio box. Once you have got a reader to read your author bio box you still need to seal the deal. If your bio box sucks, no matter how good your article may be you probably are not getting clicks to your website.

Tell readers to come to your website or blog for more incredible content, give away free stuff, advise them to sign up for your newsletter for unbeatable deals; whatever you need to do to get them to your website or on your mailing list the bio box is your chance.

You need to write every article very carefully. Readers should be able to tell not only by what you say but by how you say it that you are an authority in your niche and therefore it is worth their time to visit your website.
