As a freelance writer I do not always get to chose the topics I write. However, in my quest to make money blogging, I have found several communities that pay for posts. Some of these websites offer training, contests and other goodies for freelance writers.
How do I make money blogging?
A majority of these sites publish accepted articles and posts on other sites in their network. You get paid through ad revenue sharing. Simply put, there are affiliate ads on the pages where your articles are published. You will get a percentage of the revenue made from those ads.
The content submitted on Constant Content will be sold, either with exclusive or nonexclusive publishing rights. You set the prices for each article you write that is accepted and Constant Content takes a percentage of the sales.
Tip! Before submitting content to Constant Content it is important to read their guidelines. The first article I submitted was rejected simply because I used the wrong font. The standards for content at Constant Content are higher than the other sites listed.

Which of these websites is the best for a freelance writer needing extra income?
That depends on your writing style and how much time you plan to invest. Many writers claim to be making good money using these websites. I recommend joining Helium and Constant Content to get started. While these two websites are very different in the way a freelance writer can make money blogging, both sites are very valuable.
